CHILD EDUCATION TEAM - GHANA
Our team consists of Emma, Apurva, Viktor, Stan, and Mikayla.
We landed in Accra with the food processing team on Wednesday evening and rested shortly after arriving in Nsawam. The following day we started our work.
DAY ONE | THR JAN 10th 2019 | NSAWAM, GHANA
Our first full day in Ghana consisted of preparing for our first teacher experiment for the following day as well as meeting the staff at The Exploratory for dinner that night.
For material prep we assembled some of the MDF BrightBoxes, inventoried and organized others into ziplock baggies for teachers to assemble, and organized and separated the various parts for the cardboard and paper versions of the BrightBox.
Our experiment prep also consisted of planning our experiment. Through long and thorough discussions we planned out our procedure, the questions we were going to ask, as well as the roles of each person on the team during the teacher experiments.
Afterwards we also went to dinner with the team from The Exploratory and got to know them a little better.
