Today the first members of the ADE
Child education group arrived at Agastya International Foundation's campus in Kuppam
India. After the long trip from the
United States the staff at Agastya have been incredibly welcoming and the team
is excited to get started with our work here. With us came several Brightbox
ray projectors and all arrived intact and mostly without damage. Some of our
first tasks here will be to do the final assembly on several Brightboxes to use
for testing with the students here.
In addition to this we are in the process of
acclimatizing to the very different country that is India! On the drive to
campus from out hotel in Bangalore we were lucky enough to be treated to a
traditional Indian festival. In addition two of us who are first time India travelers
are adjusting our palates to the delicious yet spicier cuisine here.
As our first day here comes to an
end we have gone through our assembled Brightboxes and identified any errors or
malfunctions that needed addressing with assembly, there were only a couple
with circuitry damage and the rest all functioned perfectly. We also sat down
today to go over our plans for the coming week and are eagerly anticipating our time here at Agastya.
